What is a Relational Database? What is a Relational Database Used For?
A relational database keeps things organized, whichever way you want. Watch to learn what a relational database is and how it can be useful.
A relational database is a set tables that can be reassembled in many different ways to display data without having to reorganize the database tables. Each table contains columns of data categories, or attributes. Each row, or tuple, has a unique instance of data, or key, for the categories.
Users can manipulate a relational database table to find the view that best suits their needs, or in other words, obtain a report with only certain information by narrowing down the categories. Popular relational databases include Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and MySQL.
